The museum de Vries

This is a slightly elusive museum, only open to the public when booked ahead, which makes it all the more intriguing. It houses the dutch artist Adriaen de Vries' (1556-1626) sculptures, and is located in an old building on the royal grounds that used to function as stables. If you are not able to book ahead you can walk the grounds instead and see the bronze replicas of the artists' sculptures placed about the grounds. The royal representatives are known to change schedules constantly so if you are venturing out to Drottningholm, make sure it's not closed off to the public ahead of time. Although if it is open, you're in for a truly royal treat.
