Cemeteries

Many people find a visit to a cemetery, calming and as an opportunity for peaceful thought and meditation. Stockholm's cemeteries are both places of natural beauty and monuments to well-known Swedes.

Skogskyrkogården, designed by the architects Gunnar Asplund and Sigurd Lewerentz in 1921, is now on the UNESCO world heritage list. For those wishing to pay their respects to a favourite figure in history, we list here a few famous Swedes´gravesites.
