Allotment gardens

The Swedes are very particular about nature, and most people seem to have a need to be able to poke around in the dirt once in a while. This can be arranged in many different ways but a popular one is to get an allotment garden. There you have a few metric meters of earth to tend to, and (just like people with larger gardens) they "have to" be absolutely perfect. This in turn is nice for people who just like to look at them. So for those of you who long to see these adorable and much loved pieces of art, keep a lookout when walking through the city in the summertime, as they're hidden in the green areas of the city and suburbs. If it looks like a tiny cottage with a beautiful little garden, then you're probably looking at an allotment garden.
