From the top of the south island - Södermalm - there is a truly spectacular view over the northern, western and eastern parts of central Stockholm.
The surroundings up here are very picturesque with houses from the 18th and 19th centuries, all of them restored and still today homes of stockholmers.
The view from here shows the lake Mälaren, Riddarholmen and the Old Town with the Royal Palace, the downtown area, the island of Djurgården and the Baltic Sea.
