Gustavsberg

This is the main town on Värmdö and it's jam packed with history. The town basically grew with the success of an old porcelain factory that was built in 1825 and nowadays you can mill around the charming streets from that time. Because of the town's history, the main attraction is naturally the porcelain museum in the Ceramic Center. Visitors can look forward to the large permanent exhibition of old and new porcelain, often combined with different special exhibitions. The Ceramic Center also has a great cafe and a couple stores where you can purchase authentic Gustavsberg porcelain.
