Grinda

Grinda is an extremely popular destination and lies directly south of Ljusterö. The boat trip goes via Vaxholm and takes one to two hours depending on the boat.

The island has two boat landings, a northern and a southern with a walking path that connects the two. The natural surroundings are very typical for the Stockholm archipelago and also a large part of it's allure. To put it bluntly, it's beautiful. People travel to Grinda to go swimming by the shore rocks or to venture to the child-friendly sandy beaches. You can also rent kayaks, try your hand at archery or or go rock climbing. Most of the more adventurous activities have to be booked in advance though.
