Fjäderholmarna

Stockholm's nearest archipelago islands lie off Djurgården, between Nacka and Lidingö. You reach the island group via a 25-minute boat ride from the City.

The main island has many restaurants, fish smokehouses and places to have a coffee. There are barbecue grills for people who want to bring their own food.

Blasted into the side of a mountain is the large Baltic Aquarium (Östersjöakvarium) where you can study fish close up that otherwise swim freely in the waters right around Stockholm and in the archipelago. On Fjäderholmarna you'll also find a crafts village and various exhibitions having to do with nautical life and the archipelago.
