Getting around in the archipelago
During summer, the archipelago is filled with sailboats as many
Stockholmers travel from island to island. Visitors can also enjoy our
archipelago by travelling on one of the many white steamers or more modern
vessels.
To fully explore the archipelago, purchase the 5 day archipelago
pass, "Båtluffarkortet" SEK 340. This pass entitles you to unlimited boat
travel throughout the archipelago, from Arholma in the north to Landsort in
south. Use the card for day trips with Stockholm as your base or more extensive
excursions, spending a night or two at one of the many Bed & Breakfasts,
hostels or hotels. On some of the islands you will find simple camping sites.
The card can be purchased at the Tourist Centre at Sergels torg. More
information on accommodation and boat connections is also provided
there. |
