Talk of the town tours

Here is a new way to do the town on your own, armed only with a map and a mobile phone.

If you have a mobile phone (not 3G) using non-Swedish phone networks or foreign prepaid phone cards, you can buy a 24 hour pass for which will give you access to your own guide at currently 37 points of interest. The pass comes with a map, showing these points and all you have to do is to dial the number for the language of your choice, e.g. 00468-558 08 112 for English and then key in the three digit number for the point of interest shown on the map that comes with the card, e.g. 162 for the Royal Palace. (A small version of the map is shown below.)

The guide will tell you about the sight for 2-3 minutes. Languages available include English, German, French, Spanish, Russian and Swedish. If you would like to get an idea about what it is like, call the free demo number:

The pass is valid for 24 hours and includes 6 audioguide calls and 6 quick facts calls, totalling about 20 minutes and the cost for the calls is included. Please note that the service is not available for mobile phones with withheld numbers or 3G phones.
