Fun for children

Stockholm: JunibackenJUNIBACKEN, Galärparken. This is the wonderful world of master story teller Astrid Lindgren. Take a ride on the story train and meet all the exciting characters from her books. Let the kids play around! In Junibacken's own book shop you will find Astrid Lindgren's stories translated into different languages and lots of videos, cards, posters, soft animals and other toys from the world of the books.

MUSEUMS Many of Stockholm's museums and other attractions arrange activities for children. In the Postal Museum children can dress up in child-sized postal uniforms and staple and sort mail. The Museum of Technology , let children explore and experience science in a fun way. Go for a ride in the mini subway at the Stockholm Transport Museum. The Museum of Music has their own music shop for children with lots of instrument. Aquaria Water Museum, Skansen Open Air Museum, Skansen´s Aquarium and the Toy Museum are other museums children will enjoy visiting.

KULTURHUSET CULTURAL CENTER, Sergels torg. The children's activities for children up to the age of 12 comprise a workshop where children's creativity is encouraged and a modern children's library where children can listen to stories, see a film, meet writers, read books or discover a virtual world on CD-ROM.

SWIMMING Go for a swim! Stockholm offers clean and clear water which can be easily accessed from for example Smedsuddsbadet on Kungsholmen or Långholmens strandbad on Långholmen. If you prefer swimmingpools, visit Eriksdalsbadet, Vanadisbadet or Kampementsbadet.

TVILLINGARNAS BÅTUTHYRNING, Djurgårdsbron. Rent your own canoe or pedal boat for excursions in the beautiful waters of Stockholm.

SKATING, Kungsträdgården. During winter time it is possible to skate in Kungsträdgården.Rent your skates in the booth next to the ice rink and get out on the ice .

GRÖNA LUND TIVOLI, Djurgården.
The amusement park Gröna Lund Tivoli is a must for the entire family. Don't miss the "Little Free Fall", an attraction also for the youngest in the family.
