Tipping

A gratuity is included in the metered fare of all taxis. It is common to round the amount off upwards. E.g. 88 becomes 90 etc. You will probably want to add a bit more if you are using a taxi guide and he or she is really good. But no one will kick your teeth out if you don't.

13% gratuity is included in all restaurant and bar checks. If the service was really top notch, you can show your appreciation by leaving a little extra. 5% will do fine.

Almost all doormen and bellboys in Sweden have gone the way of the dodos. In the unlikely event that you can find one, figure on 5-10 kr per bag. The porters at the Railway Station have a fixed tarif and expect nothing more. There are no skycaps at the airports anymore.

Hairdressers and barber shops. No tips to the owner and the employees really don't expect anything. If you feel the urge, add 10%.

Tour guides will fall over with joy if you place a 20 into their hands.

Other than this, you can safely forget about tipping in Stockholm.
