| Many types of medicine require a prescription in Sweden, more so than in most other European countries. In order to ensure that the medicine, prescribed in your home country can be brought for personal medicinal purpose, a doctors prescription, as well as a note from a pharmacy, must be brought. In cases of antibiotics and other types of medicine, a doctor must provide a prescription and provide advice on usage. Pharmacies are called "Apotek" in Swedish and there are lots of them around. This one has service around the clock, seven days a week: Apotek C.W. Scheele | Photo: Apoteket |
