Fire department

Police

In all cases, except for emergencies, look in the red pages in the local telephone catalogue (Police=Polis).

Like all other countries Sweden has a problem with thefts and other crimes. Hotel theft is unusual, but pickpockets roam tourist areas during the summertime, so please carry your valuables where they can't get to them.

Report all crimes to the nearest police station. If the theft, or other crime, occurs at the hotel, contact the front desk. If at another location as for example a camping site, report immediately to the reception office. If no personnel is to be found in the vicinity, please call the nearest police station. In emergencies call 112 and ask for police, ambulance, doctor, fire brigade and the like.
