| This map shows the central parts of Stockholm, which cover an area of about 4 by 4 kilometers (2,5 by 2,5 miles). The 750 years old Old Town Island lies in the center of the map, with the northern mainland and Stockholm's commercial centre just above it. Below is the large South Island and further south, the southern mainland. To the east is the Djurgården island, a large park with numerous sights and attractions and to the west Kungsholmen (the King's Island), which is mainly residential.
